Mr. Neffendorf joined Canyon Creek Energy in October 2020 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the company. Prior to joining Canyon Creek Energy, Mr. Neffendorf was an engineering advisor in the technical team with Cimarex Energy (NSYE:XEC) overseeing the technical advancement and implementation of completion practices with XEC’s Mid-Continent and Permian Basin assets. Before XEC, Mr. Neffendorf worked for EOG Resources, Inc. (NYSE:EOG) and Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) in various reservoir stimulation and development engineering roles.
Mr. Neffendorf is an industry expert in reservoir stimulation and developing enhanced completion processes. In his career he has partnered with Texas A&M University and The University of Oklahoma for completions research and participated in a project with the Department of Energy. All of these opportunities have led to improved understanding of best practices for completion fluids, frac design, perforation design as well as understanding drilling unit development. He is highly familiar with in-situ measurements including fiber optics, core analysis and micro seismic. Mr. Neffendorf holds a Patent for Method and Apparatus Measure Features in a Conduit.
Mr. Neffendorf attended Texas A&M University as a Lechner-McFadden Academic Scholarship recipient, a National Merit Semifinalist and a member of the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1999 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
