Prior to joining Canyon Creek Energy, LLC, Mr. Stahl worked for ETX Energy, LLC, a privately held oil and gas exploration company. At ETX he was responsible for a broad range of accounting and financial analysis functions directly supporting the executive, operations and accounting teams.  

From 2013-2016 Mr. Stahl held various positions at Samson Resources Corporation after a group of private equity investors acquired the predecessor company for approximately $7.2 billion. At Samson he served in a financial reporting role before transitioning to a team dedicated to the overhaul of forecasts and analysis deemed critical by management.

Mr. Stahl began his career in public accounting as an auditor for a regional firm in Northeast Ohio. Mr. Stahl has been involved in three ERP implementations which have driven his extensive experience creating financial reporting and analysis templates. He is a graduate of Ohio University with a B.B.A. degree in Accounting and Business Pre-Law, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
